Andre Castro, a character artist, published his latest work. A 3D sculpture of the famous character Spawn. He shared just a few images of the project. So we can’t see much of his process, but there is a screenshot of ZBrush so we can see the raw 3D model.
Based in Curitiba, Brazil, Andre currently works as 3D Character Artis and 3D Concept Artist.

About Spawn
Spawn is a fictional antihero appearing in a monthly comic book of the same name published by Image Comics. Created by Todd McFarlane, Spawn first appeared in Spawn #1 (May 1992). The character is a Hellspawn, a sworn servant of Malebolgia.
Spawn’s mission is to lead Hell’s army in the Apocalypse against God and Heaven. However, he has since rejected this mission and now uses his powers to fight evil on Earth.
Spawn is one of the most popular comic characters and has been adapted into a live-action movie, an animated series, and several video games. He is usually portrayed as a dark, brooding antihero with a tragic past.
3D Characters with ZBrush
The process of creating 3D characters inside of ZBrush is not unlike the process of sculpting a character in real life. Both require a skilled artist to use the right tools to shape the character’s form. In ZBrush, these tools are digital brushes that can be used to add or remove material from the sculpture.
The artist can also use different colors to paint the sculpture, giving it a more lifelike appearance. As with any art, the process of creating a 3D character takes time and practice. However, once the artist has mastered the required skills, they can create genuinely lifelike and unique characters.
